We hire for heart first, qualification second — then invest in training to make sure both are exceptional. Every carer on our team has been carefully selected, thoroughly screened, and given the cultural competence training to truly serve Melbourne's diverse communities.
Before any carer visits your home, they've passed a rigorous process that most providers never bother with.
Every team member holds a current National Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) clearance — not as a tick-box exercise, but because your family's safety is non-negotiable.
All carers complete structured cultural sensitivity training before they begin. Language skills, dietary knowledge, religious observance, and communication styles — understood, not assumed.
Care doesn't stand still — and neither does our team. Regular training in manual handling, first aid, dementia care, and the latest aged care standards keeps everyone at their best.
Consistent care means seeing familiar faces. We match carers to clients carefully — and we maintain that relationship.
Satpal Cheema
Director
With a background in economics and econometrics from Monash University, Satpal founded J.PEER Health after his own grandmother couldn't access the quality of care she deserved. That experience shaped everything the company stands for. Today, he leads a team of over 25 people across four businesses — bringing the same personal drive to every family J.PEER supports.
